Coaching, Training and Team Development
How we create compassionate and productive relationships in our workplaces is a challenge for public sector leadership. This is a central theme of my work in public sector organisations. I bring over twenty years of experience as a learning and development specialist and coach both within the NHS and as an independent consultant. I bring a sound understanding of management and leadership theory combined with a highly practical approach. My particular focus is on relational leadership - delivering the task through the relationship.
I work with clinical leads, consultants, matrons, ward sisters, service managers and senior therapists. This includes people who are making the transition from clinician to leader, those recently promoted or returning to work following a career break and leaders implementing significant personal and service change.
My programmes cover leadership and management skills, addressing tricky people management situations and delivering service change and improvement. I tend to work in public sector organisations including local authorities, county councils, the NHS as well as universities and third sector organisations and I have facilitated cross agency / system focussed events as well as team development programmes.
I hold an MSc in change agent skills and strategies, a post graduate diploma in leadership mentoring and executive coaching and I am qualified to use psychometric tools including, Myers Briggs Type Indicator, Firo B and the emotional capital report including 360. I am trained in systemic coaching constellation practices and have full membership of the Association for Coaching and of the Institute of leadership and management.
Previous work includes being Chief Officer of Wandsworth Community Health Council for five years where I engaged in voluntary sector development work as well as advocacy of patient's issues.
